The Kenora Baseball League (KBL) is proud to celebrate a standout season for six of its rising athletes — Caleb, Cam, Jaxon, Quinn, Leah, and Chloe — who took their game beyond the local diamond and onto the provincial stage. These players have proven that talent, heart, and hard work can take you far — and that Kenora athletes are a force to be reckoned with.
Caleb brought his catching experience from the Kenora Selects to the 18U AA Carillon Sultans, where he also discovered a new passion for third base. His defensive presence was a constant throughout the season. Though his bat didn’t always produce the results he wanted, Caleb was the definition of perseverance — arriving early, staying late, and putting in the work. That effort paid off during provincials, where he stepped in behind the plate, made a clutch throw-out at second, and earned Player of the Game honors. Even off the field, Caleb’s voice led the dugout, proving that true leadership means supporting your team in every way.
A first-year player with the Carillon Sultans, Cam stepped into shortstop — a brand-new position — and quickly proved himself with fast hands, strong instincts, and a level-headed approach. At the plate, he delivered with consistent hits and RBIs all season. During provincials, Cam shifted to second base without missing a beat, continuing to provide key defensive plays and solid offense. His poise and versatility helped lead the Sultans to an unforgettable finish.
Together, Caleb and Cam played pivotal roles in helping the Sultans finish first in city league, win their pool, and claim the Provincial Championship with a dramatic 4-3 final victory over the South Central Cubs.
Over with Winnipeg North, Jaxon showed why consistency and quiet determination matter. His team took home a silver medal in city league and finished 5th at the Manitoba Provincials, thanks in part to Jaxon’s dependable bat, strong right-field defense, and ability to step up as a pitcher when needed. His commitment to improvement and team spirit made him a valued everyday player — and his growth as an athlete was matched by the friendships and mentorships he gained along the way.
Quinn MacNeil continues to blaze a trail, building on two successful seasons with Carillon AAA and earning a spot at Manitoba Provincials. His hard work, high-level performance, and leadership qualities recently earned him a coveted spot on the Team Manitoba 16U roster — a remarkable achievement and a reflection of his dedication. Representing Kenora at the provincial level, Quinn carries not just his glove and bat, but the support and pride of his entire community.
From her start in KBL U9 House League to her second season on the U14 Manitoba Girls Provincial Hardball Team, Leah has earned a reputation as a fierce competitor and trusted leader. Known by her nickname “Playa,” Leah brings laser focus, sharp instincts, and a no-quit attitude to every inning. Coaches and teammates alike look to her for her work ethic, consistency, and calm in high-pressure moments. Whether turning a double play or stepping up to bat with the game on the line, Leah is fearless — and an inspiration to young players across Kenora.
Also making her mark on the U14 Manitoba Girls Provincial Team is Chloe, whose journey began in KBL U7 House League. Her passion, hustle, and fearless drive earned her a spot on the KBL Selects, and now, a provincial jersey. Chloe’s all-in mentality shows in every game — whether fielding grounders or connecting at the plate — and her willingness to step up and challenge herself, even with older teams, has accelerated her growth. Chloe is a player who takes risks, embraces challenges, and leads with her actions. Her community couldn’t be prouder.
This year, these six incredible athletes — Caleb, Cam, Jaxon, Quinn, Leah, and Chloe — reminded us of what makes Kenora baseball so special. Their accomplishments highlight not just individual excellence, but the strength of a community that supports its youth to dream big and play hard.
The Kenora Baseball League is proud to celebrate their success, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for these rising stars.
Congratulations to all — your hometown is behind you every step of the way!
