Kenora Baseball League Unveils New Outdoor Batting Cage with Community Support

Kenora, ON — The Kenora Baseball League (KBL) is excited to announce the opening of a new outdoor batting cage, a long-awaited addition to the JM ball field. This project was made possible through the generous support and contributions from the Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation, MNP LLP, and Lacroix Landscaping.

 

 

The new facility is now open for public use, allowing local baseball enthusiasts to hone their skills at any time. This development is part of KBL’s ongoing efforts to enhance local baseball infrastructure and promote baseball in the Kenora area.

 

KBL Chairperson, Arcade Zilinski, expressed immense gratitude and excitement about the completion of the project, stating, "For years, this has been a dream of our board. Pretty much all the fields we travel to have batting cages, and we were eager to bring this opportunity to build this essential skill right here in Kenora. It’s more than just a facility; it’s an investment in our community’s sports culture and our young athletes' futures."

 

Community members of all ages are encouraged to take advantage of the new batting cage to improve their batting skills and enjoy the sport of baseball. With this addition, KBL hopes to foster a greater love for the game and encourage more participation in the sport locally.
